Braun comes to the Stormy Petrels with a wealth of experience in Atlanta-area collegiate and club volleyball. She served as the head volleyball coach at Agnes Scott College in nearby Decatur for the last two years, guiding the Scotties to their first two trips to the USA South conference tournament in program history. She also served as the assistant coach for the Scotties during the 2016 season.
The Tallahassee, Florida, native served as a coach for A5 Volleyball Club in the Atlanta area for seven years. She garnered numerous top 10 finishes in the regional tournament as a head coach, including a third-place finish in 2014. That team qualified for the junior national tournament.
An Oglethorpe alumna, Braun was a stalwart outside hitter and setter for the Petrels from 2011-14. She garnered all-conference accolades three times, earning a spot on the All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference third team in her freshman season of 2011 and winning All-SAA honorable mention in 2012 and 2013.
Braun earned her bachelor's degree in communication and rhetoric studies from Oglethorpe in 2014. She went on to attain a master's degree in sport administration from Georgia State University in 2018.
